This CD began as a gift for a dear friend who had just given birth to her daughter. I recorded some lullaby versions of songs we both loved from the 60s and 70s, including songs by the Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Carole King and James Taylor. I made sure they were very mellow guitar/vocal or keyboard/vocal versions. Copies of the album started making the rounds of new parents, who told me they loved that I'd used "grown up" songs, and also how well it worked to put their babies to sleep. Eventually I added more songs and the CD was officially released.
